Cannot see how this can be better, so the fact that it is sold as a "second" is irrelevant. Anyone -buy it, you won't be sorry

Much better than the basic wood stock
I disliked several things about the basic wood stock that came with my Ruger 10/22, the worst of which is the slick plastic butt plate that moves around against my shoulder when I am drawing a bead on my target. The Sporter stock is superior in every regard. Worth the price. Perfect fit, of course.
