Slightly Outdated..
1 of 1 found this helpful As cam selection has moved towards higher rocker ratios, lighter valves and retainers.. spinning higher and higher rpms.. this book helps with none of that unfortunately. I expect a good cam selection book to discuss spring selection, mass/inertia and some examples of cams/springs/weights, and why they work.. what doesn't work.
Sorry, but no real info here that I didn't already have in more general sbc engine books.

SBC rebuild...
1 of 1 found this helpful Having a few of the books already, I've been looking for detailed info. At the time it was written, it is quite valuable to those with average knowledge. For those looking for all those specific specs and measurements, it is incomplete. Most books appear that way, where a famous engine builder authors a book but leaves some of his most valuable secrets. Most info on secret sbc packages can be found by asking directly on forums such as my favourte 4m.net or thedirtforum.com. Many forums are full of people looking to help out anyone truly considering rebuilding his/her sbc. Thanks internet!

Nice air/hydraulic jack!
Using as a spring smasher, and the air control is precise with a gentle squeeze. I will polish the shaft somewhat as my added strong return springs will not pull it closed.. Seals are soo new. Obviously was designed to have a lot of weight that would collapse it properly..
Awesome jack. Works great!
