A Lot of Potential
5 of 8 found this helpful For the price, I found the number of games limited - not to mention the cost of a pro controller if you want a more conventional gaming experience. As an adult, I found the forced use of the gamepad unnecessary, frustrating, and confusing. For example, there are parts of the Wii U main menu that can only be navigated through the gamepad. Why? To force the user to use the gamepad. There's a lot of that throughout - I wish I could just turn off the gamepad and use the pro controller, but unfortunately the Wii U gamepad is tethered to the console itself - when the Wii U is on, the gamepad is on, and vice versa. Overall, there are some really great games once you get over the quirkiness... but for the price, I wish I would have got a Playstation 4.
