Effective inexpensive costume option
I bought this spray to wear with a colonial costume, to mimic the effect of white powder in my hair, and I thought it worked perfectly for that. It did not completely obscure the natural color of all my hair, but did cover well; I used two or three light coats, and had probably 1/3 to 1/2 the can left over (so could have done another pass or two if I wanted more coverage).
It was pretty highly fragranced. It left my hair stiff, but that was a benefit for me as well.

Missed it in the theatre? "Death of Stalin" is something to celebrate!
This hilarious black comedy from the originator of "The Thick of It" and later "VEEP" excoriates the boot-licking sycophants surrounding Stalin after the undignified demise of the premier leads to frenzied confusion and back-stabbing among his followers. It showcases performances from an amazing cast that includes Jason Isaacs and Steve Buscemi, and its machine-gun dialog rewards repeat viewing.

Over-the-top extravagent Hollywood rubbish
2 of 6 found this helpful The science is crap, much of the dialog is eye-rollingly cliched, even the soundtrack is overwhelming. This movie is one of those stupid Hollywood 'twofers'--there was another "enormous flying crud about to obliterate the planet" movie released the same year. I bought this DVD because the movie features a very brief appearance by my favourite actor, Jason Isaacs; he had originally been offered a larger role, but was obliged to turn that down because of a prior commitment. He pops up occasionally to frown and make erudite observations and essentially save the earth. Thank goodness.
Nice pair of specs, earnest expression, and a lovely blue shirt. Fast forward past the excrutiating and utterly irrelevant romance between Liv Tyler and Ben Affleck to enjoy Jason Isaacs' impeccable American accent and Peter Stormare as a cosmonaut who may have been up there a little too long.
I love eBay--I was able to buy this movie for exactly what I thought it was worth.
