Not thrilled with the mounting hardware
1 of 1 found this helpful I REALLY want to make sure me car topper doesn’t come flying off on an interstate. While tightening, one of the plastic knobs just twisted right off, exposing the 10mm bolt head. Aesthetically this is not good, but functionally it is a plus. I feel it’s much more secure after tightening it with a wrench. On the road, I would check the tightness at every stop. It took 3-4 instances before I really felt like it was secured. Another one of the plastic knobs twisted off. Honestly, I will probably pull the two remaining ones off and just use a 10mm wrench. Now-how to prevent the exposed bolts from rusting.....
