My son is still asking about his elf!
1 of 1 found this helpful The elf shows up at your door from the north pole. You have to give him a name and a special place to sit in your home. Each night, he flies back to Santa to report on how your child/children behaved during that day. When he returns he is sitting in a new place. Every morning the kids have to find his new spot. My son really liked looking for "Tommy" every morning, and would even come home from the store and let "Tommy" know if there was a new toy that he found and would like from Santa. "Tommy" left on Christams eve to stay at the north pole and help Santa prepare for next year. But my husband and I have decided that he will probably return at necessary times during the year to check up on our son. My son is almost 3, and the explination about not touching him because it would take away his magic worked great, and we never had a problem. I even had to use my Christmas potholders to take him out of the box so I wouldn't ruin his magic! We really enjoyed having "Tommy" with us this year, and he will be great to have in the years to come!
