Parker 96R Butterfly Open Double Edge Safety Razor With Free Derby Blades

Best idea I've had in a long time.

Bought this after researching one of the cheap shaving club ads on TV. This model came out top so I bought one to try. Its brill! Wasn't convinced with the included Derby blades so got some Wilkinson Sword. But turns out the Derby blades are better, at least in this razor. The razor itself is very good quality and gives a great shave compared to the current very expensive multiblade items in supermarkets. It feels nice and heavy in your hand and the secret to a good result seems to be not to press hard, and go slowly until you get used to the technique. Bit of a learning curve but only nicked myself twice on first couple of uses. Combined it with Arko stick soap and Nivea aftershave balm. Looking forward to saving an absolute fortune in future. Loads of instructional videos on Utube and shaving products to experiment with on Ebay. Take your time and spoil yourselves with one of these. Suitable for ladies as well as gents by the way, wouldnt want to keep this shaving saving secret to ourselves would we lads? All things considered, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Quality with great scent

Lovely marzipan smell but not long lasting. First time I used it was a little disappointed as the lather dissipated quickly. Rectified by applying more of it to the brush on subsequent shaves. To be fair I was using a new brush which may have something to do with it. Whips up into a nice creamy lather providing a quality slick shave using an old Gillette double edged razor...recommended.
