Laugh out loud, extremely creative paranormal, vampire, shapeshifter humor!
I loved this book! The humor in Carrie Vaughn's Kitty Norville series is priceless. She is an experienced writer with all the professional skills in creating an engaging story that you won't be dissapointed. The whole series is excellent. Plan on finishing a book in one sitting once you start because you won't be able to put it down and I guarantee that you will laugh out loud at the paranormal vampire and shapeshifter humor that comes fully to life in the first book.

Don't waste your money! One book condensed from 3 would have been better.
I labored through the first book Fifty Shades of Grey. It got very old with Ana saying she can't believe she's with or doing something with or to Christian Grey on nearly every page for the first half of the book. The story started out interesting, but soon got very repetitive. I am halfway through Fifty Shade Darker, the second book, and it is even worse. Talk about angst. Ana is going over everything several times trying to figure Christian out. The sex scenes are way too many and not very exciting. I am detemined to finish the series, but have no desire to continue since it is just the same old and not very good writing at all. I will pick it up and read a bit and put it down saying to myself, get on with it! Instead of 3 books at about 530 pages each she could have condensed all into one book of the same 530 pages and would have held my interest a little better. But publishing is out to make the big bucks and we as consumers are left short changed and dissapointed. More later when I finally finish the series, if I can make myself do it. I have almost finished the second book and am not going to labor over the third. James needs a thesaurus for the words Jeez, Oh My, delicious, oh crap, holy cow and so many other phrases that are stupid and overused. I forced myself through the second book and will not put myself through the torture of the third. I am off to read a real book by a real author and not waste my time on this nonsense. Watch for more reviews.

A must read set of books that will take you away with a flourish!
I have read all 6 books in the Kusciel's series and Jacqueline Carey is my favorite author! She is a pro at putting together a detailed story that leaps from the pages. I could not put them down once I started and eagerly awaited the next book in the seires. She leads the reader through an ornate tale with adventure and a unique twist to romance. Thoughtful and inspiring at the same time. A must read set of books for the serious reader who knows a great author and treaures it as it should be.
