Sigma 17-35 f2.8-4, a vary good alternative
Having looked at the Canon 17-40 L lens, this was, I thought, a very good alternative. I have used this on my 350D with no trouble as the re-chipping certainly works.
I bought this lens for landscape shots and have found that from f2.8 upto f8 it is very sharp in the centre, and blurred towards the edges. As I increase the f-stop the edges become better so that from about f8 upwards the sharpness is very good right across. The colour rendition appears to be very good, as does the fringing, or rather, lack of it. If you require very long exposures, I have found this lens will stop down to f45.
Overall I would recommend this as a very good alternative.

Combat Edge Prowler.
1 of 1 found this helpful Bit of history of the electric intruder, then much more about the Prowler. Pictures are highly detailed and plenty of them. Colour schemes ate very interesting. If you want to model a Prowler then you will be hard pressed to find anything as good for the price.
