Nice way to update an older workhorse
Brings USB 3.0 to an older Dell. Perfect fit, works great with Linux too.

AMD's Ryzen bantam weight champion
Sweet little hyperthreading Ryzen processor. With a BIOS update, it's overclockable to 3.8 GHz. Great compatibility with B350 chipset and higher motherboards. Excellent choice for entry level Ryzen system on a tight budget.

Solid but not the best choice for overclockers
This is a nice good looking motherboard. It's allows overclocking, however it throttles your speed if you exceed the processor's official TDP. Ugh. Weird. It will do this even if the CPU is running as cool as a cucumber. Probably overclockers would want to look at another MB with a chipset like AMD 990.
For the casual users, this is a rock solid motherboard, which does allow for moderate overclocking. There is a whole lot of configurability in the BIOS. Updating the BIOS is easy. The current BiOS is "FFe" obtainable at the Gigabyte website. Just copy the files to a bootable MSDOS thumb drive. I used FreeDOS, the open source version of MSDOS for this purpose and it worked fine.
Tested this board with AMD FX-4100, FX-8300, and FX-8350. They all booted and performed without a problem, up to their rated TDP. I give it 4 out of 5 stars, subtracting one star for the thermal throttling.
