About
First had my Nikon camera way back in 1986, EM first hands on experience in actual photography. Using D700 and D7100. I go for gears that lasts and will serve me well. Nikon lenses are the finest based on my budget. I consider old Ai Ais AFD models.

No Wonder its still in Production, True to its Class!
1 of 1 found this helpful Sharpness, durability, and color rendition covers my expectations in accordance to what I spent. Its well worth the value. Bokeh is just creamy. It may not be an answer for a demanding sports photography yet it can cover subjects with average movements Built quality is all metal construction and its not for light travel. Ideal lens to start in building up for this brand system.

Reliable and best value for your money
It covers all I look into a DLSR; reliable, sturdy, easy to use, with best image quality I look for. Raw images are less to adjust in post. Confidently will serve me well for a long time. Best value for your money purchasing at this time. Nikon have a lot of lenses to choose from and I can select older lenses with better results without spending so much. Practical system as compared to others. For me its one of the best gear as long as user knows how to maximize its features.

Intuitive, when you use AI or AIs Nikon for Digitial
Ai or AIs Nikon lens is the affordable alternative than buying latest ones. It is more intuitive and slows one down to think more on photography. It is not for a fast moving subjects but more on aesthetic composition. It fits my standard on color rendition and contrast. Just avoid high contrast objects of a white or sunlit background due to obvious chromatic aberrations/purple fringing. It may be resolved in Lightroom or Photoshop, better yet have it in black and white though. Highly recommended for advance and enthusiast. For beginners, it would be quite a challenge, however, with much interest and passion, it will be appreciated thereafter.
