Amazing quality, even with the TC
I'd read the reviews of this lens that said it was sharp, but even expecting it to be good I was super impressed. Even with the 1.4x teleconverter the image seems to be razor sharp. Coming from an APS-C DSLR it's obviously not as good bokeh with (f5.6 equivalent wide open, f8 with the teleconverter) but with a bit of distance between subject and background it's capable of beautiful shots, foreground and background. Love it, love it, love it. Oh, and did I mention that it weighs less than half of my 300mm f4 prime lens on my old DSLR but is sharper and faster to focus?

Does the job
I only have simple needs (for now) in terms of a NAS. I want to be able to back up files from my computer to my NAS and from there have 24/7 backup into the cloud without needing the PC on. The included software is pretty powerful and flexible and I've mostly been able to get it to do what I need it to, although some aspects were more difficult / confusing than they need to be.
I'm backing up 200gigs of personal photos to OneDrive and the cloud sync features are OK but I don't really need a SYNC, I really just wanted to push them up there. Instead it's downloading the files after it's uploaded, which is kind of annoying. However it's doing the job and it's much better using a low powered NAS to do the job than leaving my PC for weeks. (If you're wondering, I get 100Kbps upload speed, so it's literally taking weeks to finish...)
Apart from that, build quality is OK. I put two HGST hard drives in it and they're definitely not quiet when in operation, but the NAS does nothing to help muffle the sound. If anything it possible amplifies the sound with all the un-damped plastic casing. Luckily it lives in another room so it's not a big deal.
But it's cheap for a NAS and it fits my purposes. If I didn't have a crappy internet connection with terrible upload speeds (thanks, Australian internet infrastructure) I'd probably be more tempted to do things like host mini web servers, but those experiments will have to wait.
