Spring could be tougher
I used this as a temporary measure on an outward-opening old porch door prior to replacing the whole porch. Occasionally, with front door and back door open, the through draft in summer is too much for the spring, forcing the porch door open. My guess is that in winter months the contraction of the spring would be sufficient to hold this without problem.

Perfect fit
Perfect fit for small pan which never had lid. Now means a smaller pan can be used for boiling vegetables and thus the task uses less energy than previously.

Genuine OEM product
The genuine article for which it is worth paying a few pence more. Problem with cheap copies is the same as with anything cheap. Buy cheap means buy twice !
