Make your own pillows and sachets with fresh balsam fir!
This balsam smells wonderful, like a walk in the woods. Fresh and clean- it comes double bagged and the fragrance is long lasting.
Instead of settling for generic draft dodgers and sachets, you can buy this balsam loose and use your own fabrics and imagination to add fragrance to your home!
I used vintage bark cloth, fish shaped pillows and Indian trade blankets for a true cabin look.
Try filling small sachets for your drawers, luggage, even boots and shoes!
It's especially good for Christmas projects and gifts. The fragrance is memorable- give a small pillow to a child and start a tradition they will always associate with you.
If you can sew simple shapes together this is a great resource!

The Snow Queen- Eileen Kernaghen
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this book thinking it was the Hans Christian Andersen story but it is really a whole different book. It has a Native American plot that runs alongside the original story line.
I wish the description or title had pointed this out- I really needed the original for a project I am doing.
Also, although the cover illustration is beautiful, it is the only one- there are no other illustrations in the book.

I love this book!
I got mine from Bambi (autographed and sealed with a kiss!) in her shop in New Orleans about 10 years ago. Great book if you love Bakelite jewelry- she has an awesome collection and this book is a good addition to your reference library if you are an aspiring Bakelite collector!
