Why did I ever use teflon?
This is my first foray into cast iron, and let me just say, It won't be my last. I don't know why it has taken me so long to get on board. Yes, its expensive, and heavy but it is definitely worth it. It's actually not that hard to clean and it's much more non-stick than I expected; yes you're not going to be able to flip an egg like you would with teflon, but it's still pretty good. Love my lodge Cast Iron Dutch Oven, and definitely would recommend.

Love my cast iron SKillet!
I haven't used the griddle yet, but the 2 skillets (or frying pans) are amazing. I really love cooking with cast iron; I can't vouch for other cast iron brands, but all the hype around Lodge is definitely warranted.
