Transformers Masterpiece MP-17 Prowl Nissan Fairlady 280Z Police Car Vehicle Toy

One of my Favorite Transformers is a Masterpiece
Understand that this is a Adult toy. Transformers toys have been around for many years now and with the main buying group getting older, the market for this toy is definitely an older crowd. This toy / figure is part of the Masterpiece (MP) line. The MP toys are a re-imagined and re-engineered versions of classic Transformers toys from the 1980s. They have multiple goals in mind. First is articulation. Whereas the original toys were not the most articulated, the MP versions are great to pose in almost any position. Second the cartoon accuracy. Paint and design are as close to the original as possible. And third, they are usually size comparable. Meaning every MP figure mad, can be posed together with others in the MP line. This figure is Prowl, the Nissan Fairlady Police car. Named MP-17, as it was the 17 figure produced in the Masterpiece series of toys. In the cartoon, he was one of the coolest characters. The original toy was maybe 3rd in popularity behind Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. The MP version is amazing to hold. It is very accurate to the cartoon. If you ever had the original toy, the MP version will give you the nostalgic feeling because it is so close to the original. The transformation from car to robot is slightly complicated, but not very difficult - it will take some time and patience. In robot mode, the figure looks great from 3 sides (Front, right & left side), but the back leaves a little to desire. There are a few spots that remain open in the back and for some collectors, that is annoying. So if you are a purist and want to spin it around, you might find fault with the back side. Even the great amount of engineering that goes into these figures, there is only so much room available to hide parts inside the figure. Areas that are not exactly like a 1984 animation concept are to be expected. When compared to other Masterpiece Transformers, the transformation of this toy is on the easier side. MP tends to get very complicated in the transformation to provide a great visual. Thankfully, this Prowl does not get overly difficult to transform back and forth. Some of the others will take 30 mins to transform, as they are very complex. This one maybe about 5 to 10 mins. As for many buyers of this toy, it will sit on display on a shelf or desk and display. You will probably transform it a few time in it's life before it's sold again or given away. Knowing this, the figure hits everything you need as an adult collector. Have fun and enjoy remembering how cool they were in your childhood.

You will believe Superheroes are Real!
In the last 20 years, comic books have gained more notoriety than ever before. Select artists in the medium stand out from the rest with there own unique style. Alex Ross is one of these exceptional artists. He offers a painted realism that has never been seen with superhero artwork. Superheroes are fictional, mythical beings that can do extraordinary feats. The artists have been able to delivery them through art, but do not have a real life feel to them. Ross’s art offers this realism, sometimes associated with Norman Rockwell. His characters come to life as never before seen from any other artist. And as the Superman tagline went… “You will believe a man can fly.” With Ross’s work, “You will believe that superheroes can walk the earth.” Mythology is the collected works of DC Comic characters painted by Alex Ross. DC Comics offers the oldest and what many people consider the god-fathers of superheroes. For any comic book enthusiast, this book offers a glimpse of Ross’s spin at the classic characters of DC. It is beautifully made and shows his process of using models to rough drafts to finished product. This is not a textbook, but a piece of art. Almost every page comes off as a gem. You will be able to open the book to any page and have a visual masterpiece to occupy your senses. He has the master characters – Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman. But you will love his takes on everyone else. From The Flash and Green Lantern to lesser knowns like Black Canary and The Atom, each one has the likeness of real men and women in costumes that are capable of astonishment. I have collected comics while I was a growing up. And as expect, as an adult, I now have more refined tastes. This book is a staple of my adult collection. This may be too much for younger kids, but I would highly recommended for anyone High School age and up. It’s truly worth the money.

GREEN LANTERN Reborn for your Kids
Look, to most fans, Green Lantern and his story is known, so don't expect it to change DRASTICALLY in this movie. I won't give away anything, but old fan will enjoy as well as new cartoon / anime fans. This is GREEN LANTERN reborn for a new generation of fans. KID friendly - keeps the little ones attention - 9/10 (there is some killing and although no graphically shown, maybe much for younger ones). FEMALE friendly - typically they won't care, but the action draws the ladies in as well and the well paced STORY keep them there - 9/10. Specifically, what does pop out - The Animation is SUPERB and COLOR & CLARITY make for a very exciting action movie. The cartoon style is different from previous animation by DC (BATMAN, Wonder Woman, JL: Final Frontier)the GL movie has it's own style, same way the SUPERMAN/DOOMSDAY had a different style. Things to KNOW... 1) You can buy this anywhere. 2) BEST BUY had a week 1 special - the BLU-RAY or DVD came with a Green Lantern - Hal Jordan figurine. Same as the Wonder Woman, it has alot of articulation and is sure to go up in VALUE (Wonder Woman goes for $25 on E-BAY).
