Power Pressure Cooker XL - very nice unit, in spite of the hype
3 of 3 found this helpful This item is heavily advertised by means of a TV infomercial, during which Eric Theiss and a nameless lady cook every dish known to mankind and completely replaces all of their kitchen appliances with this single appliance. Back in the real world, this is still a very handy appliance which can pressure cook (two pressure levels) and slow cook. Plus it automatically switches to 'keep warm' when a programmed cooking cycle is complete - very handy. The unit will also brown meats right in the cooking container, before switching to pressure or slow cook mode. When pressure cooking, the unit heats quickly and maintains pressure by means of an electric duty solenoid. When a pressure cooking cycle is complete, it's easy and quick to release the pressure. In slow cook mode the unit will actually build a slight pressure - again, easy to release. The unit comes with an Owners Manual and Recipe Book. Both are useful in trying to decipher the so-called automatic settings on the unit. This user found the automatic settings to be more of a hindrance than useful. Fortunately, these settings can be ignored and most users will soon discover what settings work for their particular recipe. Overall, I was please with the unit and would recommend it as a useful addition to most kitchens . . . particularly at the going price on eBay . . . which is about half the retail price!.

Great printing, low-cost operation, built like a tank!
1 of 1 found this helpful For low-priced laser printers, this printer (and the 2140, which lacks the wireless network interface) can't be beat. Great printing, low-cost operation, built like a tank! It is easy to refill the cartridges (or buy after-market carts). The paper path is simple and rarely jams. Small footprint for a laser printer. This is my second Brother laser (the other is a 2140) and both are going strong. I'm a fan.
