Aesthetically pleasing and easy to use
The Kalita Cube Manual Coffee Grinder turned out to be a gem for a nice daily ritual. The instructions are in Japanese, but are illustrated and typical of manual grinders. It takes about thirty revolutions to grind for two tablespoons of medium ground coffee, maybe two minutes for three cups of coffee. I found it easy to use if you stand up to grind going slowly and gripping lightly. The grinder is made of wood and iron; it is not plastic. I would use it for one or two cups at a time, and clean it with a brush. Don’t get it wet. If you’re too busy, or require twelve cups of coffee a day, I would go electric. But a burr grinder delivers really good coffee, and it’s very attractive on the counter. We are Kalita fans, and we are enjoying it a lot.
