Classic NES game
1 of 1 found this helpful This version of RCR really took me back. When I was young, maybe 9 years old, my parents didn't want to dish out $40-50 on Double Dragon 2, so I instead picked RCR for $20, knowing absolutely nothing about the game. In hindsight, Double Dragon II turned out to be pretty lame & River City Ransom I would say was the best NES game outside of Super Mario 3! The things that stick out are the game play, the humorous little things the enemies say as they are taking an absolute beat-down from alex & ryan, and the way Alex stuffs food down his throat (plate & all) without the faintest sign of chewing...and he eats his drinks as well. Who can forget Alex's cartoon ass in the sauna? Hand's down a Top 3 NES game. Only downfall was this game was almost as short as it was sweet.
