Dell Inspiron 1720 Laptop Review

Latest Dell supported Operating System - Windows Vista
unofficial install of Windows 7 - Possible.
This is a great laptop for modifying and running Linux at a very good spec.
Windows 7 can be installed, but you need to hunt for the drivers, so be sure to write down all hardware details before formatting, otherwise it will be harder to resolve all the driver issues.
I upgraded the CPU to a T7700 2.4Ghz Dual core with intel VTx for virtualisation. This is a great upgrade, but only attempt this if you are confident to strip down laptop hardware.
With a full size keyboard, and media controls on the front of the laptop, this is a hard laptop to beat for overall value for money.
Only downside is the fact that Windows 7 is not oficially supported on this laptop by Dell.

Thule 598 end cap
It's just an end cap, not structural but well worth replacing if it breaks.
Mine came in good time and was packaged well.

Value HRM Strap
This is a very basic haert rate strap, but it also seems to work very well on our Garmin HRM sensor. its early days, but its lassting very well. I'd reccomend this strap as an emergency replacement, or very good if you are a casual runner.
