I got a dud!

I ordered this part and received a dud. I had a bad charging port and I have used this type of part before with no problems. I installed this part (not a complicated repair) in my note III and I kept getting a flashing battery icon on my device. I reinstalled the original part and it went back to the original issue. I think I just got a bad part which happened to me only once prior to this. I had a note I with the same issue and I repaired it with no problem.

I am a former 12 volt installer and have always liked Metra products. I now do sound as a hobby. I have only a small gripe but it doesn't effect the product. The pins seem a little loose to me. I'm used to them being more tight but I did an install a few weeks ago and it's smooth sailing.
