The Gonzo Way by Anita Thompson
I am a big Hunter S. Thompson fan. I have all of his books and many of the magazines he has articles, short stories and interviews in, two movies that are based on his books, and several documentaries on him.
In 2007 when i heard that Anita Thompson had written a book I was exited. In this book she explores the legacy of her late husband, the founding father of "Gonzo Journalism" and inspiration to many, Hunter S. Thompson and shares insights from his unique approach to writing, politics and life. She pays tribute to him through interviews with those who knew him best, including Tom Wolfe, George McGovern and Douglas Brinkley. With elegant prose and entertaining antidotes she reveals a Hunter S. Thompson who was much more than a mere embodiment of sex, drugs and rock'n'roll.
This book is a welcome addition to the Thompson lore.
