Something needed at just the right time.
This was something needed for a caboose build. I already had the chassis, but I needed a good caboose body with the PRR decorations. Wow! this is a beaut indeed. The paint color and markings are spot-on correct. I am going to give the included chassis to another dealer in S-gauge because I had one with the trucks in very good condition. I am going to put an LED lamp inside because my chassis has power take off from the track.

So Far So good!
After getting the breadboard Acopian power briicks, the no load output voltage looks spot-on. These are a lot more convenient to use than bulky power supplies.

Light weight & great features. Like the color scheme too as it lends itself to model car racing colors!
Several years ago, I found another Plano Stow, the model 1372, in my local hardware store. I snatched it and have been using it to support slot car racing for several years. I had heard of the bigger model 1373 through the literature that came with my 1372 stow. What I found out was that Plano had quit making these two products, and especially in the yellow/grey color scheme. Later on I had found another similar stow to the 1372 online in sand/gold color scheme and another in marketed by an outdoor store in green/black color scheme. All were manufactured by Plano. I snatched this model 1373 because it allows me to carry more cars and other tools to the local slot car raceway. The only other solution I have found is the custom-built slot car box built from birch plywood panels sold in the hobby stores. That involves a lot of work and a good miniature table saw with some good design plans to optimize the design. The danger there is that you can end up with the case alone weighing 50 pounds! Believe me I've seen it! The custom case might be my longer term approach after a 3-D design exercise, but this Plano 1373 is a wonderful find in the mean time.
