August Doorbell 1st Gen is OK performer.
1 of 1 found this helpful Setup was easy. No need to turn off power (it’s just a doorbell). Also, no need to charge up and then remove for pairing. Just wait 15 minutes and then set up with your router. Placement of my bell was right next to the door. It was recommended that I should use the wedge to angle the camera. The wedge makes it look a bit (more) bulky but it was the best thing to do. Video quality depends on your WiFi upload speed so if you don’t have a good system, then you won’t get good results. I have only had the doorbell for 2 days. My router and the front door were at opposite ends of the house. I had to move the router to a different location to get better connectivity. Once that was done, I had no issues with the August app or connections. I look forward to seeing how this integrates with our household.
