The CPR CallBlocker is Awesome!!
3 of 3 found this helpful I had been trying to figure out what I could do about the scam and spam calls. I was so frustrated with receiving more calls from spammers and scammers than from my friends and family. The last straw for me was the continual spam callers who kept calling me from newly generated fake phone number on a weekly basis that I could not block. I can't pre-block a number I don't know.
The best features on this call blocker is being able to block 1000 numbers and being able to block area codes. My ultimate solution to drastically reduce the number of fake robo calls I was receiving was to retrieve a list of all US area codes which is a few hundred sort them and remove from that list the area codes that I expect to receive calls from otherwise all area codes in Alaska blocked, all area codes from Ohio blocked because I do not know or expect someone to call me from these states on my wired home phone. Honestly my wired phone is in place for emergencies and nostalgic I think and my primary phone is really my cellphone. I did not pay for a wired phone line to be bombarded by scammers, telemarketers and politicians.
The only complaint of the call blocker I purchased is that it does not log the caller id information so you have no caller information logged on this machine as far as timestamps and telephone numbers. If I block an area code this CPR Call blocker only has a counter of the number of times the area code was blocked for example but you don't know the actual telephone number blocked. My work around for this issue was to hook up a caller id box on my second phone line that logs all calls allowing me to scroll through it to see if I need to make any changes to my blocking setup. It took 1-2 hrs to block all of the area codes manually but it was totally worth it.
