The Baseballs STRIKE CD 2010
I found The Baseballs video clips on Youtube and couldn't get their CD here in Australia. I love their upbeat, happy, rockabilly, Elvis-esque sound, and Sam, Basti and Digger are three gorgeous German men with loads of charisma, good looks and incredible voices. This CD made me want to buy a 'How to Swing Dance' CD to dance along to their songs,and a poodle skirt and petticoat, and I sincerely hope they will release more CD's soon. They don't 'just cover' songs, they rip them open and sing them in a whole new way. Who'd have thought my favorite song would ever be 'Don't Cha', I hate the original, and same with 'Umbrella', these guys take songs that suck and sing them in a way you can't help falling in love with. I recommend this album to everyone, of every age, my teens play it, my husband and I love it, our 6 year old neighbor comes in to listen to it and dances his own little dance. It's a great pick me up on a bad day, but be prepared to dance, you will find it hard to just sit and listen, you will want to join in and be part of the Baseballs party.
