Communicating for Life
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book even though this was required reading for my class. The author does an excellent job with communicating to his readers that we were created by God to be communicators.
The author presents his idea of communication presented from a biblical perspective. He warns that if “we live entirely in a media world we will probably develop unstable, superficial identities and shallow communities.” His book illuminates possibilities for us to utilize more of the divine mystery found in communication in an effort to move beyond the “drab, mechanical process of sending and receiving messages.”

LYING
This book was very interesting. The auther deals with lying on a philosophical level. The author briefly describes many classic schools of thought about whether and when it is okay to lie, if at all, and applies this to a number of settings or issues.

Why Good Arguments Often Fail
I enjoyed reading this book. The author points out excellent guidelines for communicating effectively in any role or setting we find ourselves in including those in which we may be trying to express the Christian faith through any of the many media and art forms we may involved with today. I think the author offers some good, useful guidelines as to what characterizes some basic worldviews today.
