20 soft brushes
The set did contain 20 brushes. Bristles are soft and the brushes seem all in all good quality.
I was a little bothered that it seemed that some were doubles and I was missing some smaller brushes. The brushes are not physically numbered or marked so checking the package content was just by comparison to picture.

Worked literally once
I bought batteries for it to try it out. Turned it on, it worked. Turned it off to get my bunny to test it on her. Tried to turn it on again, nothing. Tried fixing battery position, tried basically everything. It didn't work anymore.
