Short term replacement
Its better than a broken connection. I decided to leave the original on since it was better quality and still worked while changing out a battery.

What can you say its a Blackberry.

Can't go wrong for the price.
Only concern was the copper or brass, sleeve bearings, decided not to use them. The brushes was what I needed the most and they were good. I'll save the other parts if I need them down the road. My starter wasn't totally worn out and was still in spec. Overall I would recommend the kit for a rebuild. Had 152,000 on the original starter. Much cheaper then buying a new rebuilt. Just a reminder a 1984 is smaller than the 85,86.87 if your thinking of a replacement starter.
