INSTANT CRAZY SOCK COLLECTION!
I have found, from experience that building a "Crazy sock collection" from local Retail stores is tough, pricey & can take a long time. Wild socks usually come in a pack of 3 with 2 "mild" pair! Buying this lot of Zeke pattern Funky dress socks has instantly added POP to my Work wardrobe. I will be purchasing a different pattern set, very soon. Socks are the one clothing area where I can express my wild side, and with these Zeke sock lots--collecting doesn't have to cost a fortune!

A handsome book, well-written--though a bit out-dated is worth picking up!
This book by Victoria Padilla is one I have wanted for quite awhile. As a collector and grower of Bromeliads including Tillandsias, I wanted to add this book to my collection of Bromeliad informative publications. "Bromeliads" is showing its age though, as far as having up to date listings of Bromeliad species. New species of Bromeliads are being discovered and named each year. Also, obviously modern hybrids are not listed in this book. The quality of the plant photographs are good but the reproduction of them is just fair by todays standards. The halftone pattern is very large and takes away from the detail of these exotic plants in the smaller color and b&w plates. All in all I would recommend this book to enthusiasts of Bromeliads and anyone interested in learning more about them. Especially if you can pick up the book for a good price used. I enjoy seeing plants familiar to me today, that have since the time of the printing of this book, been officially renamed how they used to be classified! The text is easy to read and for the gardening "layperson" (such as myself) I appreciate not being spoken to in printed word as if I have several degrees in Botany!!! Victoria Padilla was very involved in the early days of the Bromeliad Society International and helped to establish the publication that is still in production today, known as the Journal of the Bromeliad Society International. I enjoy having this book very much for that reason alone.
