It's not trying to be 'Black Orpheus', it is its own story.
The packaging was thorough and it arrived sooner than expected.
Sadly 2 or 3 of the songs weren't given subtitles but even when you don't know what they're saying the songs are still lovely.
Some plot lines don't feel fully resolved but you get so wrapped up in the overall story you find you don't really care.
One part of the myth was oddly missing but the rest of the adaptation is still faithful to the original myth, with little references all over the place.
Both this movie and the 1960 movie 'Black Orpheus' are adaptations of a play that I haven't read yet since I don't speak Portuguese and can't find it in English, a play that itself is a retelling of a myth from Ancient Greece. I would recommend both movies to anyone as I would any good adaptation of a myth or an old story.
The singer beloved by everyone, mortal and immortal alike, clothed in the sun, and the young nymph with lovely eyes and a lovely name will meet again, will loose each other again, and will find each other again, in one place or another, in one time or another, as they always did.

I love listening to the original music and to the Jazz Impressions
The time it took to get here was understandable as it was international shipping. It was still a reasonable price. This was a wonderful movie that had a wonderful soundtrack, and Jazz impressions of that soundtrack was a great idea.

Story's as engaging and heartbreaking as ever, watch this series, watch the movie, read the book, you won't regret any of the three.
