Recon unit met expectations
Refurb unit at very good price so can't complain. It worked OK. Both battery compartments were corroded and not cleaned properly but toothbrush cleaned it satisfactorily. Owner's manual was for a different unit but was able to find correct manual online.

Great Value and Works well enough
Good build quality and smooth operation. The locking knob, however, had to be turned in all the way to get a solid grip on my Arca swiss compatible "L" bracket. The camera can be lifted out with the lever in the middle position. It works well enough though and clamps tight enough to hold my Canon 5D Mark III. I recommend it. Would be 5* if locking knob had more travel.
