Good value for a solid switch
The 2960 is an extremely popular switch for a reason. Great feature set, no fan, very solid. At this price the value is tremendous. These are an industrial strength product with all of the goodness of their big brothers in a small form factor. This model can even do basic layer 3 routing.
Mine shipped with no application code loaded - so be sure to have a console cable and know how to find a good firmware on Cisco’s web site (not as easy as it sounds), and how to load it over xmodem. The IOS12.2 version is probably the one you want. The 15 version was flakey for me on this model.
