Engrossing and Engaging
This is a fantastic children's series of books. Where many children's books from this era are about middle class children, these are about children from a working class family who are full of love and laughter as well as heartache. You care about the characters and it's easy to get engrossed in the compelling stories. I loved these as kids, and now my daughter does too. Great for age 9 onwards

Beautiful and Compelling
This book is so beautifully written, it is a joy to read. it has a compelling story with interesting characters. I cannot recommend it, or Jandy Nelson highly enough.
