Why do I even bother?
Broke the tab off the first time I tried to remove it from the camera.
Now it won't stay on the camera.
As usual, great idea with non-existent engineering.

Prerequisite: Machine Shop
Apparently, the refurbishing required the spur gear to be welded to the main shaft. It looked like it was originally a press fit over splines and must have spun off in the field.
The spur gear was welded on crooked and made a cycling grind each revolution. The replacement shaft bearing had to fit over the two new welds so it was too large of a bore to even rotate.
If you own a machine shop like I do, then go for it. You'll save about $50.
