Good lens for a cheaper price
A great lens for a lot less than newer VR, with the catch of no VR.. otherwise performs really well. Works excellently on my D610, F80 and F801S - the compatibility across newer and older D/SLRs is super handy. The macro capability is quite good but it relies on a switch that will only move when the lens is zoomed to over 50mm and focused out of macro range, which can be a little tedious but it's not really a buzzkill for me. It would be nice if it were a little faster than f3.5, but for a cheaper option good for casual shooting it's well worth the buy.

Good value
All metal, lightweight, simple design but effective manual focus adapter. Adapter fits on both that Sony E and Nikon F sides - unlike some other cheaper alternatives, I trust this adapter on my expensive camera and lenses. Focuses to infinity with no issues and I've managed very sharp macro shots using this adapter with a Nikkor D lens. I can't find an argument for the price.. definitely recommended if you want to get use out of your older Nikon lenses on a modern Sony body (bonus - newer Sony's have image stabilisation built into the body.. it's like VR on pre-VR lenses!).
