Creed Country by Jenny Overton
As a huge fan of Ms. Overton's 'Thirteen Days of Christmas' and 'A Ship from Simnel Street', I was extremely disappointed with this book. It paints a very ugly picture of Catholic family life, suicide is repeatedly described as 'heroic', and the underlying plotline (which could have been quite interesting) gets lost most of the time amidst all the family squabbles the author keeps interjecting into the story. It was not a pleasant book to read, and I only finished it because I kept hoping that it would redeem itself in the end. Sadly, it did not.

Elegant and beautiful!
I love the small size of these tasting bowls! And the stainless steel mini spoons are the perfect size as well! The crystal is beautiful and well made. They turn even a basic dessert something special!
