FRED KELLY DELRIN SLICK PICK GUITAR & BANJO THUMB PICKS HEAVY (3-PACK) *NEW* D2H
    26 July 2016
Nice pick, but an acquired taste
I like the heavy version of the Slick Pick--I've tried the medium, which are less stiff, but the mediums also seem to have a slightly smaller diameter and aren't as comfortable on my thumb. Heavy Slick Pick PROS: (1) narrower than other thumb picks I've used (National, Ernie Ball); they feel more like using your naked thumb; (2) the material from which they're made seems actually to be "slick" (almost like teflon coating); the pick slides off the strings easily. CONS: (1) pricier than other brands; (2) the heavy pick is really thick--I wish my thumb weren't so fat since I prefer the medium for being less thick. This makes it awkward for single-note picking on the higher strings (at least for me). To give you some idea, these seem as thick and inflexible as the thickest Dunlop Stubbies and the Slick Pick has no bevel at the edge. (Haven't tried to modify one yet.) I've found the heavy to be a good pick for acoustics, electric hollow bodies and semi-hollows with 12- or 13-gauge strings. I have to be much more careful to balance the bass and treble strings on a Tele strung with 9s. It would be interesting to hear from a banjoist--I used to play banjo (beginner level) and bet these could be just the ticket.

    Good replacement.
I bought this logo to replace the one someone removed from the '63 tube reverb unit I bought second hand. Exact replacement.
STEVENS STEEL BAR LAP DOBRO HAWAIIAN GUITAR SLIDE NEW !
    21 September 2016
    Solid-feeling bar
I'm using this bar on a six-string lap steel. It feels very substantial and fits my hand well. I'm still getting used to it but it's just what I had in mind.
