Incredible story/story telling/ characters. A+++
Seriously - I could not put this book down - except when I needed to catch my breath or calm my heart. What a story! And especially, what a storyteller! Reminded me a bit of early Steven King edge-of-your-seat tales - but the fullness and depth of characters goes WAY beyond. I was brought to the edge of tears more than once - feeling what the characters felt, both bad & good, so beautifully & succinctly related. With multiple characters reacting/feeling/handling one situation in so many deeply felt ways - the completeness of each is remarkable. And totally believable. I am still reeling from this story and my involvement with the characters - both the main ones as well as secondary characters. The only one not fully fleshed out to me was the 'bad guy' - but isn't this fitting? What do we really know is in the mind of a bad guy? Or how he came to be? Thank you Tim Johnston for a GREAT read! Looking forward to your next one!
