An industry standard you've heard on all of your favorite records.
2 of 2 found this helpful This is a classic microphone that Beyerdynamic has made continuously since they first introduced it. Hendrix'sguitars? Steve Windwood's vocals? Bonham's beat on When the Levee Breaks? All recorded with this mic. You can't go wrong. Every bit as classic as a Shure 57 or a Neumann U67. Everyone now knows that ribbons are wonderful at smoothing harsh sources...electric guitars, horns, cymbals....the wonderful Royer 121 started the trend back to ribbons....but for half the money of a 121 you can have the very mic, after the Rca 44's and 77' and Coles, that made ribbons famous in the first place.
