Check on the weather without getting out of bed

It's early days yet as I only just set the weather station up, but so far everything seems to be working fine. There's a bit of mucking around to set the wind sensor up for the southern hemisphere and the manuals can be somewhat confusing regarding the calibration process. I downloaded the latest WS2910-EN.pdf manual which explained the process better than the operation manual supplied which was for Model:WS69 sensors and didn't explain the correct buttons to press on the display to move the wind direction 180 degrees. Yes, that sounds weird. but the setup for the southern hemisphere advises to align the sensor unit with the West arrow pointing East for the best measurement of light etc. The sensor array is mounted approximately 40 metres away from the display and is separated by a brick wall and a couple of timber and plaster walls without any problems. The display shows a lot of information on one screen without looking cluttered and the most sought after items of temperature, wind and rain are located together on the right of the screen while pressure and light details are on the left. The Ecowitt App allows you to view the current weather on your phone once the base display has an internet connection and all the details are listed clearly. I have wanted a quality weather station for a long time and this WS2910 unit seems to fit my needs well without breaking the bank. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and look forward to it having a long and reliable life. Only time will tell.

Nice imperial tubing

Hard to find at times is imperial measurement tubing. This 1/4" tube is great for model building as well as a heap of other uses. I purchased this piece for tobacco pipe repairs and I can cut off small pieces as required. I can't argue with the price and I almost feel guilty for allowing hytec_1 to post it to me for free. I can definitely recommend hytec_1 to anyone who wants metal, plastic or rubber sheet, bar or tubing etc for their projects.

Nice desk lamp

Nice desk Lamp with lots of adjustment for height and angle. Spreads a wide beam of warm yellow light up to bright daylight depending on the colour temperature and brightness you select. The mounting bracket and the adjustable arm are stable and do not sag. At 80cm above my desk, the brightest part of the beam spreads approximately 1.2m. I would happily recommend this lamp to anyone needing a nice reading or desk lamp.
