Original part but with a manufacturing/storeage fault.
This is a genuine Ford/Fiat part which is an original quality part, and a good fit on a Fiat 500. However, when the item was removed from its manufacturer's packaging, the thin, poor quality plastic hinge holding the cap in place showed obvious and clear signs of plastic fatigue - that is, the dark blue plastic was whitened and pale at obvious stress points on the hinge. Was it manufactured like that? Did the plastic age prematurely from storage, perhaps? Who knows, but it probably won't last very long and, more than likely, will break off exactly as the original cap has! Not worth sending back. Disappointing, not worth the bother.

Touch sensitive replacement switch - a good cost - effective repair.
Easy to fit in place of the original switch; a wiring diagram is marked on the body of the switch. Beware! - the wiring colours may be slightly different to that of the old switch. There are a number of 'how to' videos on You Tube and articles on the Internet which you can refer to. Just follow the wiring diagram of the new switch and all should be well - also consider replacing the wiring connectors for UK 'chocolate box' strip type - the originals aren't too clever, and not really re-useable.! Obviously be careful, 'cos electricity can kill!!!

Good quality, solidly made high axle stands.
Bought these axle stands in order to raise my car a little higher than was possible with my 'standard' (3 ton capacity) set; to get more headroom for a certain job. They came well packaged (manufacturer's printed cardboard box inside a close fitting outer cardboard box). Of heavy, solid gauge they did the job well and the extra headroom obtained was, to me, worth the cost. Because these axle stands are rated at 6 tons each, ie a combined rating of 12 tons, the bases are much bigger than my 'standard' set, and the ratcheting extending holders are also much longer than standard. I felt secure and safe working under the car with these stands, and would certainly recommend them. Price was not that expensive for a safety item, either!
