I can't remember NOT using these brushes.....
2 of 2 found this helpful I have used Mason Pearson brushes since 1975. That's it, the best, and there is no reason to try anything else. The bristle/nylon combo is killer - easily goes through the hair and no breakage. Gentle, yet does the job. Although I own the medium sized version as well, I am always reaching for the pocket....I have one in my purse and a couple of others at home. They are very easy to clean, and I kid you not, last longer than anything else I use on a daily basis. I have one brush that is at least 15 years old, and looks just like my new one, other than that the name on the handle is slightly worn off. Worth every penny.

Great item to improve the look of any lamp. Terrific price. Buy more than you need, much more, because you will want to swap out other cords once you do your first one.
