getting started
1 of 1 found this helpful Great kit! The small tools are of good quality, the oil bottle is glass, the grease container is good thick plastic. The disk with three small oil bowls/holders is a good solid piece, no cutting corners there. The tools and bowls/container should last a life "time", pun intended.

big difference!
I used some 'other' surrounds on some Snell Type E speakers, I thought they were good, sounded good to me. Well you don't know what you're missing if you've never experienced a thing before and that's what happened to me. After reading in the description that these surrounds were made for these speakers, I spent the extra $ and bought them. It made a huge difference, the other Snell drivers I put the more generic surrounds on are much more restricted. The foam is more stiff and I don't exactly of course but there may be up to 30% more travel/excursion of the cone with these better surrounds offered by Midwestspeaker. I'm tempted to rip the more generic surrounds off the first Snells I repaired and replace them with these much better ones but it's too much trouble, I hope these better surrounds are around by the time the glue and foam goes bad but maybe I'll go first.
