I collect any items to do with the Northamptonshire Regt, as it is the family Regt. I write military history books for Pen and Sword, I also have a passion for old things, and sometimes the house gets a little full. Those items which fit neither I nor my growing son, or I think need more use in a loving home, I like to pass on. Other family things I look for are to do with the QAIMNS/QARANC, Padbury and surrounding villages in Buckinghamshire

Brilliant Book
An excellent book that makes badge identification easy, the author writes in a learned but easily accessible way that helps one get into the identification and dating of old photos more easy than ever No more shifting through loads of unrelated pictures, or Google images...which are frequently badly labelled anyway. Highly recommended

Nurses in wrong uniforms
1 of 1 found this helpful The Toms are quite good for the layout, but the colours of the Nurses uniforms are completely wrong. The QAIMNS (R) or TFNS should be in a grey uniform with scarlet edging (they both wore the same), and the VAD nurse should also have a grey dress. Some repainting required here...
