Caused my motherboard to literally catch on fire

I left this card plugged into my motherboard overnight in the powered off computer (Gigabyte ex58-ds4). In the afternoon my room smelled like electrical malfunction. I smelled around the car, and concluded that it was one of the fans, but when I powered on the box, the mobo caught fire on the chip next to the slot where this card was plugged in. It could be a miracle of a coincidence, or the particular card I purchased. You decide.
