Cost effectiveness
I found these diamond plated burrs to be as good as any of the similar diamond plated tools I have used previously. And much, much cheaper. I usually carve gemstone materials with hardness 7 (quartz. agate and chrysoprase for example), so this type of burr cannot be expected to last very long. For the price of these burs however I can use several, even al, lon a job and still finish well in front on the cost of purchasing a one comparable sintered diamond burr...
