Great rugged smartphone
3 of 3 found this helpful As a owner of the previous version of Kyocera DuraForce I wanted to try this new DuraForce Pro. It's a little bit bigger and heavier due to bigger display (5'' instead of 4,5''). It runs Android 6.0 and has plenty of RAM (3GB). Internal memory of 32GB is ok and you can make it bigger with a SD card with up to 256GB memory, which is great for this type of phone. The back camera with it's wide lens variant of 135 degrees make it great for shooting videos, although 30fps at FullHD is not the best you can get in these days. It won't really replace your action cam, but it make come handy in some situations. I found the video stabilization quite useful. Pictures are of average or lower quality and you can't compare it with other phone brands like Samsung or Sony. This phone is mainly a hard working piece of equipment used in hard environment and outdoor situations where you expect your phone to stay alive even when others cover their phones with extra cases.
The only problem with this phone comparing with its smaller predecessor is it's construction - it's back cover, which I found too much plastic and slippery without small bumps that would make the grip little bit better. Also the back cover makes sometimes creaky sounds upon touch which is quite weird.

Great allrounder
2 of 2 found this helpful Durable phone with great cosmetics and sleek design? Yes. LG delivered once again a great allrounder for office rats and outdoor fans at the same time. Great cameras, very good audio/video, nice features like 3.5mm jack, MIL-STD, Gorilla Glass 5/6 protection, barometer and very responsive always-on display. Quick processor and loads of storage. Great battery life, 21W fast charge, wireless charging, what do you need more? The only small downside is the slow fingerprint reader in the display, but when you get used to it, it doesn't really matter. Just hold your finger little bit longer for 2 seconds and it does the job. It actually makes you feel more secure when you have to hold your finger little bit longer - you know, James Bond style. All and all, this phone is just amazing for it's price and can compete with much more expensive phones that actually lack some of the features, durability mainly. Go for it while it's still on the market. Android 10 is still doing well and will be there with us some more years.
