Excellent design!
Works well and it is nicely designed.
The batteries in the corners are a tad difficult to remove and some may need some tools to get them out but otherwise a robust case.
Note: if you're using rechargable AA's then you won't be getting 9v out of the 6AA's. You're actually getting 7.2v.
A 7 piece design would take that to 8.4v which would closer to the targeted 9v.

A good little bedroom radio with good sound excellent dimming display.
The goods:
- exceptional dimming display. it goes very dim as night comes. This might be a drawback for people that wear glasses as it might be to low. For me it's just perfect because I don't like distracting lights when I go to bed.
- good sound from such a small box
- it automatically sets the clock after the dab station. You can set it individually as well if there is no DAB reception in your area.
- 3 easy to set up personalized alarms
- attractive design
The bads:
- no dedicated buttons for the radio presets. You have to press the presets button and then pick up the radio channel you want to switch to
- no battery backup, just in case there is a blackout. So bear in mind if you have electric blackouts in your area.
- i would have loved to hear more highs sound-wise. I find that the highs are subdued on this radio.
- i would have loved to have stereo sound, but as I said in the Pros section the sound is good enough.

The phono plugs are quite thick so this will be a problem with sockets that sit very close to one another.
