Randolph County Illinois Veterans Lest We Forget
17 December 2022
Nice bios of Randolph County veterans, as far as it goes.
This is a very important resource for anyone researching veterans of Randolph County, Illinois. A major distraction is the poor production quality which detracts from the presentation. Another weak area is the sparse information on older conflicts such as Civil War and earlier. For someone researching the two World Wars, this would be an indispensable resource.
Chef Paul Salmon Magic Seasoning, 7-ounces

Best Salmon Seasoning and I have tried them all. Worth the money.
This is absolutely the best seasoning for salmon. Get your magnifying glass to read the tiny print on the label that gives you the best recipe ever in the universe for Salmon.
Cemeteries of Illinois : A Field Guide to Markers, Monuments, and Motifs, Pap...
11 December 2019
Great field guide to Illinois cemeteries!
As the title states quite clearly this is a field guide. As is typical of any field guide, it is clearly organized and key points illustrated with great color photos. This guide touches on all of the commonly encountered artifacts likely to be found in Illinois cemeteries. For example, there is a brief history of the most commonly encountered stone material such as field stone, marble, granite and even concrete. This is not however any kind of authoritative compilation of all the cemeteries in Illinois. There are representative examples given but nothing close to a complete listing. There is a list of "suggested reading" included along with a fair number of citations. Overall, this is a well organized and well thought out book for the novice cemetery explorer but would not be quite as helpful to someone looking at a very detailed history of a particular cemetery or iconography. Overall, I would consider this a staple of this particular subject.
